For the third day in a row, Ford is spending a lot of its time releasing the first details of its SEMA-bound vehicles.
Following in the footsteps of the Fiesta ST and the Focus ST, the Blue Oval announced that it will be bringing a pair of Ford Fusion sedans to Las Vegas, beginning with the Full-Race Motorsports’ tuned Fusion SE.
There’s a comprehensive list of modifications Full-Race Motorsports did on the Fusion SE, beginning with a subtle body kit that appears to include only a few components. It does have fancy set of wheels, which is a good thing, given it adds that highly sought after attitude to the Fusion SE.
Moving to the interior, this Fusion SE will head to Las Vegas with a finely dressed cabin that features leather seating from Katzin to go with a seven-inch touchscreen tablet built into the dash that Eric Marquiss, logistics manager for Full-Race Motorsport, describes as operational on the Android system, "allowing the driver to do all kinds of data logging or connect to wireless Internet."
But the biggest highlight of Full-Race Motorsports’ program is the powertrain upgrade, which it accomplished by adding a BorgWarner turbocharger to go with a cat-back exhaust and a cold air intake. With those new components added into the mix, this Fusion SE is expected to produce an impressive 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque — not bad for a usually timid family sedan.
